The head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov may be replaced in the near future.
This was reported by NV with reference to an informed source in the law enforcement agencies.
Thus, commenting on the information about the dismissal of Kyrylo Budanov, the interlocutor stated: "There is such an option."
At the same time, the source refuted the information of some Telegram channels about sending the current head of the Defense Intelligence as an ambassador to a foreign country.
In addition, the interlocutor of the publication suggested that the new head of the Defense Intelligence could be 55-year-old Oleh Ivashchenko, who currently holds the position of head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that NV has not yet been able to receive an official comment from the Defense Intelligence.
The publication drew attention to the fact that, in particular, MP Serhii Rakhmanin suggested that the discussion in recent weeks about the possibility of Budanov's removal from office is related to the fact that the head of the Defense Intelligence does not have a good relationship with the head of the President's Office Andrii Yermak.
