On the night of Monday, September 30, russian troops launched 3 missiles of various types and 73 attack UAVs on the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to destroy 67 drones and one air missile.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"On the night of September 30, 2024 (from 07:00 p.m. on September 29 to 08:00 a.m. on September 30) the enemy attacked Ukraine with missiles of various types and strike UAVs," the message reads.
It is noted that during the night, the radio engineering troops of the Air Force detected and escorted 76 means of air attack of the enemy:
- one Iskander-M ballistic missile from the occupied Crimea;
- one Kh-59/69 guided air missile from the airspace of the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Region;
- one Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the airspace over the Black Sea;
- 73 attack UAVs of the Shahed type from the Kursk, Yeysk, Orel Oblasts (russia).
As a result of anti-aircraft combat, one Kh-59/69 guided air missile and 67 enemy Shahed-type attack UAVs were shot down in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv Regions.
It is reported that one drone flew in the direction of Belarus, and three more were lost in location in the northern regions of Ukraine as a result of countermeasures by EW.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Saturday, September 28, russian troops launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and 73 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to shoot down two air missiles and 69 drones.
Meanwhile, in Kyiv, in the Obolonskyi district, the wreckage of the Shahed fell near a residential building.
