Member of Parliament from the Servant of the People faction, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, said that he was categorically against the replacement of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He told about this in an interview with the Ukrainian News Agency.
"The Prime Minister is always there: 24/7, aware of all issues, very professional, responds to all challenges. The Prime Minister lives by this and is completely devoted to work, and I believe that if he is not the best, I will not make ratings here, then he is one of the best prime ministers in our entire history. He does not play politics during the war, which is very important, and he just does his job very professionally. I am among those, who did not see any reason to replace the Prime Minister. When there were even such talks, I was categorically against his replacement," he said.
Hetmantsev has no "questions" regarding Shmyhal's work, in his opinion, the Prime Minister is "in his place".
"He (Shmyhal) has mistakes, like everyone else, like me, like many, but there are definitely no abuses. And definitely conclusions are drawn from these mistakes and they are corrected very quickly," he added.
Earlier, the mass media reported that the Verkhovna Rada could change the Prime Minister in the summer. Then there was information that such plans were abandoned.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk considers Denys Shmyhal to be the best Prime Minister in the history of Ukraine.
