Member of Parliament from the Servant of the People faction, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, said that the parliament will discuss the government's proposal to return the mandatory payment of the single social tax for individuals - entrepreneurs in 2025.
He said this in an interview with the Ukrainian News Agency.
"It was a certain support for individuals-entrepreneurs, part of what remained from the package of March 2022. Today the Cabinet of Ministers proposes to stop the benefit. We will discuss. Apparently, there is a logic to return the single social tax, because enough time has already passed in the context of the restoration of all taxes, which were before, before the full-scale war," he said.
According to him, his committee has not yet formulated a single position on the single social tax, but "there is a need for fiscal consolidation and this is an undeniable resource."
"Two and a half years have passed since the benefit was in effect, and today there are arguments for the return (of mandatory single social tax for individuals-entrepreneurs)," Hetmantsev added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction, member of the Committee on finance, tax and customs policy Nina Yuzhanina is convinced that the purchasing power of Ukrainians will drop to 20% after the increase in taxes, excise duties on fuel and the return in 2025 of mandatory payment of a single social tax for individuals-entrepreneurs.
