Over the past day, due to shelling and fighting, there were power cuts in the Donetsk, Kharkiv and Kherson Regions.
The Ministry of Energy has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, in the Donetsk Region, as a result of shelling of the territory of a substation, equipment was damaged, consumers were not cut off.
Also, in the Kharkiv Region, during the shelling, power was cut off at substations and household consumers, power has now been restored.
Besides, in the Volyn Region, as a result of strong winds, power was cut off at substations, household and industrial consumers.
"In Kyiv, due to technological reasons, the equipment of one of the substations was turned off, at the same time, household and industrial consumers were cut off. The power supply was restored according to the backup scheme," the message says.
As of the morning of Friday, September 27, 501 settlements remained partially or completely without power due to hostilities and technical violations.
At the same time, energy companies restored power to 26,275 consumers that were cut off as a result of hostilities and technological violations.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, before the start of the full-scale armed invasion of the russian federation on February 24, 2022, Ukraine produced 44.1 GW of electricity.
At the same time, in the winter before the start of the war, electricity consumption was about 26 GW, and surplus electricity was exported.
The occupation of part of the Ukrainian territory by the russian federation led to a decrease in electricity production capacity by 18 GW.
Until the winter of 2023-2024, Ukraine was able to produce only about 17.8 GW of electricity per hour, while the peak winter consumption reached 18.5 GW per hour, this shortfall was settled by importing electricity.
At the same time, since the end of March 2024, due to russian shelling, Ukraine has lost more than 9 GW of generating capacity.
