The Georgian Dream ruling party used footage of Ukrainian cities destroyed by the russian army for its election campaign.
The party published its campaign video on Facebook.
The idea of the video is to contrast war and peaceful life. Footage from Georgia is used to illustrate peaceful life, and destruction in Ukraine is used for war. The footage with Ukraine is accompanied by the inscription "Say no to war". The footage, where there is no destruction, is accompanied by the inscription "Choose to be in peace."
The video used images of the drama theater in Mariupol, the destroyed stadium in Chernihiv, as well as photos of schools, churches, and high-rise buildings destroyed by russia.
Billboards with the same images are also published on social networks.
The President of Georgia, Salomé Zourabichvili, called such agitation "shameful".
"I have never seen anything so shameful, so insulting to our culture, traditions, history and faith... What a nonsense it is to hang a poster for your people made in the “KGB forges” without dignity and shame," she wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 19, the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, Pavlo Herchynskyi, stated that the adoption of the "law on foreign agents" led to the actual halt of Georgia's integration into the EU.
And the day before, it became known that the European Union has prepared three options for sanctions against Georgia for the adoption of the "law on foreign agents".
