The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) maintained the forecast for Ukraine's GDP growth in 2024 at the level of 3%, but worsened it for 2025.
This is evidenced by EBRD data, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Ukraine's GDP growth forecast for the next year has worsened from 6% to 4.7%.
"The destruction of power generation and transmission facilities has a negative impact on the Ukrainian economy and has already interrupted four quarters of significant GDP growth. In view of this, the bank lowered its growth forecast for Ukraine for 2025 to 4.7% compared to 6% in the May report," the bank's materials say.
It should be noted that the EBRD's forecast for the growth of the Ukrainian economy is more optimistic than that of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine - 2.7%, the IMF - 2.5-3.5% and the National Bank - 4.1%.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in April-June 2024, real gross domestic product (GDP), according to operational data, increased by 3.7% compared to the same period in 2023.
In January-March 2024, real gross domestic product (GDP), according to operational data, increased by 6.5% compared to the same period in 2023.
In 2023, according to operational data, the real gross domestic product increased by 5.3% compared to 2022 (at constant 2021 prices) to UAH 6,537.825 billion (at actual prices).
The state budget for 2024 was developed based on the macroeconomic forecast, which predicts real GDP growth by 4.6%.
