The Cabinet of Ministers has simplified the procedure for assigning one-time cash assistance in the event of the death or disability of military personnel.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Previously, decisions on the appointment of one-time cash assistance were made by the interdepartmental commission, and the funds were paid out by the social protection authorities.
From now on, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs will make a decision on the appointment of a one-time financial aid and pay it out by crediting the funds to the recipient's bank account.
It is noted that the new procedure will make it possible to speed up the payment terms.
For the appointment of assistance to a person with a disability as a result of the war and family members of a fallen (deceased) defender, the relevant application and documents can be submitted directly to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, in particular, by means of postal communication, or through the Centers for the provision of administrative services, regardless of the declared/registered place of residence.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, since June, the veteran's ID is available in the Diia application.
