Defense Intelligence frees Vovchansk Aggregate Plant from occupiers

Units of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense freed the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant (Kharkiv Region) from the occupiers.

This was announced by the Defense Intelligence, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"As a result of an extremely complex and successful operation, the units of the Defense Intelligence completely liberated the territory of the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant and destroyed the occupiers in all the buildings of the enterprise," the message reads.

On Tuesday, September 24, at 2:40 p.m., the commander of the Defense Intelligence special unit, Tymur, reported to the head of the Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, about the successful completion of the operation.

The operation was carried out by special groups of the Defense Intelligence: Stuhna, Parahonm, Yunher, BDK, Teror.

It is noted that the Defense Intelligence fighters carried out a systematic cleaning of the plant's buildings, constantly engaging in contact battles with the enemy in densely built-up conditions. In some cases, Ukrainian special forces engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy.

The russians turned the aggregate plant into their propaganda "fortress", deploying in its defense the most motivated and professional units, among which there were even fighters of the 45th special purpose brigade of the airborne troops (Kubinka, Moscow).

In addition, a significant amount of artillery, kamikaze attack drones, anti-tank missiles, and heavy Solntsepyok flamethrower systems were continuously used against Ukrainian intelligence officers.

Despite fierce enemy resistance, the Defense Intelligence fighters managed to destroy the enemy, take prisoners and replenish the exchange fund.

The territory of the aggregate plant was transferred to the control of the Armed Forces after clearing all 30 buildings of the facility.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 23, the spokesman of the Kharkiv operational and strategic troops group, Vitalii Sarantsev, said that the russian occupiers want to unblock their soldiers who are on the territory of the Aggregate Plant in Vovchansk, but due to the inaccuracy of the flamethrower systems, they are causing fire damage to their units.
