The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and approved for use in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the amphibious all-terrain vehicle TAKHA, which was developed by Ukrainian engineers.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense.
As reported, TAKHA is able to work on any terrain: swamps, floodplains, deep snow, and even when leaving water on ice. Thanks to its small dimensions and the ability to turn around on the spot, the all-terrain vehicle effectively maneuvers in a limited space.
In addition, TAKHA overcomes obstacles more than 1 meter high, and the pressure on the surface created by its wide tires is less than the pressure of a human foot. This allows it to move on loose and unstable soils.
The vehicle can carry up to 1 ton of cargo or up to 10 passengers. Speed on land reaches 40 km/h, and on water - up to 6 km/h. The all-terrain vehicle has several fuel tanks and is able to work on one refuel for more than two days.
It is noted that TAKHA is already used at the front for evacuation, transportation of ammunition and food in difficult terrain conditions where other types of military equipment cannot cope.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier the Ministry of Defense allowed the Ukrainian Khortych-1 metal detector to be used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for demining.
