On October 1, as part of the Land Bank project, in the ProZorro system, the first auctions for the lease of state agricultural land will be held.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"We turned the page when there was no transparent market for renting state land in Ukraine. Now there is such a mechanism. About 100,000 hectares through ProZorro. Sales will be put up for lease during the first pool of project implementation. In total, today there are 806,000 hectares of agricultural land in the country state land," said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitalii Koval.
He noted that thanks to the Land Bank, farmers will have the opportunity to use state land for 14 years, transparently paying rent directly to the state and local budgets.
At the same time, farmers who will be engaged in gardening or growing perennial crops will receive land on lease for 25 years.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the State Property Fund created the first state operator of agricultural land.
