Britain will not agree to use its missiles if US does not allow it - media

The United Kingdom, separately from the United States, will not give permission to Ukraine to strike with long-range weapons on the territory of russia, because the missiles will be guided by American guidance systems.

It was reported by The Times with reference to its sources.

The UK ‘won’t go it alone’ as U.S. guidance systems are seen as critical to the Storm Shadow hitting its targets.

At the same time, the authorities of the UK are sure that the U.S. can strike with long-range weapons on the territory of the russian federation.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking about the permission of Ukraine's Western partners to use long-range weapons, noted: if restrictions are removed on weapons to which there are no missiles, this is not the removal of restrictions.

According to CNN, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used almost all of the ATACMS missiles transferred by the United States.

The White House has said that ATACMS will not be able to hit russian warplanes because they are based outside the range of these missiles.

According to the media, the UK has been waiting for more than a month for the decision of the United States to give permission to Ukraine to hit russian territory with Storm Shadow missiles.
