On the night of Saturday, September 14, russian troops launched 76 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 72 drones, two drones were lost in location, two more returned to russia.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that 76 Shaheds from the direction of Kursk, Yeysk (both - russia) and Cape Chauda (Crimea) were identified and escorted by the Air Forces’ radio engineering troops.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 72 enemy attack UAVs were shot down within the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, and Sumy Regions. In addition, two enemy drones were lost in location on the territory of Ukraine, and two have returned to Russia," the message reads.
The air attack was repulsed by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, units of electronic warfare and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 13, the russians launched 26 Shaheds on the territory of Ukraine, and air defense forces shot down 24 drones.
