On September 5, the Supervisory Board of the Ukrenergo National Power Company appointed Oleksii Brekht as the Acting Chairman of the Board.
This is stated in the company's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, Brekht has been working for the company for 23 years and in the energy sector for 25 years.
For the past two years, Brekht was a member of the board of Ukrenergo and was responsible for the operation, restoration and development of the transmission system network.
"The main task for today is to continue preparations for the heating season and the restoration of facilities damaged by enemy shelling. Ukrenergo plays a key role in the Ukrainian energy system, therefore ensuring its reliable operation as part of the European ENTSO-E network is our top priority," emphasized Brekht.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 3, the chairman of the supervisory board of Ukrenergo, Daniel Dobbeni, and the member of the supervisory board, Peder Andreasen, decided to terminate their powers due to the unjustified dismissal of the head of the company, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.
They also stated about political pressure and constant attempts to bypass the competition to appoint people whose professional qualities were doubtful to the board of Ukrenergo.
According to the decision of the Supervisory Board of NPC Ukrenergo, the head of the company, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, was dismissed from his position on the evening of September 2.
