The ship, flying the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis, was attacked by cruise missiles, probably Kh-22. The occupiers used Tu-22 strategic bombers for missile fire by the aggressor country russia on the Aya grain truck in the economic zone of Romania. The defense forces also noted that the civilian vessel was outside the maritime corridor organized by Ukraine and its territorial waters.
The Naval Forces of Ukraine have reported this.
"Yesterday night at 11:03 p.m. as a result of the use of russian cruise missiles, presumably Kh-22, from Tu-22 aircraft, a civilian vessel was hit outside the Ukrainian maritime corridor and the territorial waters of our country. As a result of the hit, the bulk carrier AYA, which transported grain from the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk to Egypt and was in the Black Sea at that time, suffered significant damage," the message says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russia hit a civilian ship carrying wheat with a missile.
