On the night of Wednesday, September 11, russian troops launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile, two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, 6 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles and 25 Shahed-type attack UAVs over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to destroy 20 enemy drones.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
At night, the Air Forces’ radio engineering troops detected and escorted 34 enemy air attack vehicles.
The russian occupiers fired one Iskander-M ballistic missile from Krasnodar Krai (russia), two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied Donetsk Region, 6 Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea in the direction of Zmiinyi Island, 25 Shahed-type attack UAVs (launch areas: Kursk, Yeysk - russia, Chauda - TOT Crimea).
Anti-aircraft defense worked in the Kyiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava Regions.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 20 attack UAVs were shot down, 5 enemy drones were lost in location on the territory of Ukraine (information about casualties and destruction was not received), - the message says.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces and mobile fire groups of the electronic warfare units of the Defense Forces were involved in repelling the enemy's air attack.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of September 8, air defense forces destroyed 15 of 23 Shahed-type attack UAVs and 1 of 4 Kh-59 guided air missiles over Ukraine.
On the night of September 9, Air Defense Forces and means destroyed all russian attack drones that threatened Kyiv, on the approaches to the capital.
Meanwhile, on the night of Tuesday, September 10, russian troops launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile, an Kh-31P anti-radar missile and 46 Shahed attack drones over the territory of Ukraine, the air defense forces managed to destroy 38 enemy drones.
