Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that there is no need to make a tragedy out of moderate emission during the war.
Shmyhal said this at a press conference, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
At the same time, he assured that the government does not plan to issue money.
"This year, like last year, we passed without emission, we did not plan emission. This is not in the plans and in the draft budget. Although, there is no need to make a tragedy out of moderate emission during the war. Even in the IMF program it is written that during the war, moderate emission, controlled, is allowed. We are not going to use this tool, but we must be very careful and not succumb to any manipulations and panics. The Ministry of Finance together with the National Bank of Ukraine conducts our financial and macro-financial policy in a very balanced and balanced way," the Prime Minister said.
Shmyhal explained why the government is optimistic about attracting the missing UAH 500 billion to the state budget - it is, in particular, the over-implementation of plans for tax collection and payments (+75 billion), savings on foreign debt service (+64 billion), domestic borrowing (+220 billion), increase in taxes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 3, the Verkhovna Rada failed the bill on increasing taxes and sent it for a repeated first reading.
Member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, said that the parliament will again consider the bill on raising taxes in the near future.
