Zelenskyy appoints Kamyshyn and Lytvyn as his advisers

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Oleksandr Kamyshyn as an adviser to the President on strategic issues (non-staff) and Dmytro Lytvyn as an adviser to the President on communications.

This is stated in Decrees No. 623 and No. 622 of September 8, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"To appoint Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Kamyshyn as an adviser to the President of Ukraine on strategic issues (non-staff)," reads Decree No. 623.

From March 2023 to September 4, 2024, 40-year-old Kamyshyn was the Minister of Strategic Industries. In 2022-2023, he was the Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Lytvyn is a former journalist and one of the authors of presidential speeches, previously he was a freelance adviser to the head of the President's Office. He worked as a correspondent on the website of the Livyi Bereh (Left Bank) publication (2009-2017) and on the Inter TV channel, and later joined the team of the President's Office, where he was actively engaged in communication activities.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 4, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Oleksandr Kamyshyn, Minister of Strategic Industries, who had held this position since March 21, 2023. On September 3, the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries announced on his Telegram channel that after his dismissal, he will work in another position related to defense.
