Ukraine develops own guided aerial bombs for strikes deep into russia - Forbes

In response to the guided aerial bombs attacks by the aggressor state of russia, Ukraine developed its own glide bombs that would allow hitting targets on enemy territory without asking permission from Western allies.

This was reported by Forbes.

Every day, russian military aircraft drop up to a hundred guided aerial bombs, some of which weigh up to three tons, at Ukrainian troops and cities. This weapon became one of the decisive factors in russia's advance in eastern Ukraine this year.

"Now Ukraine is preparing to retaliate - with its own glide bombs. A recent video shot by the crew of a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet shows an Air Force Su-24 bomber carrying a prototype glide bomb under its wing. The Ukrainians clearly intend to arm their planes with locally produced bombs. Test flight on this Su-24 was an important step in the development of a new weapon," the article says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 9, Serhii Holubtsov, Chief of Aviation of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that in a few weeks, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will begin testing Ukrainian-made guided aerial bombs.
