Overnight into September 6, the defenders of the sky destroyed 27 Shaheds out of 44 launched by the aggressor state of russia over Ukraine. As of this morning, combat work continues.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
So, at night, the enemy attacked with one Kh-59 guided air missile and one Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the airspace of the Luhansk and Bryansk Regions, as well as 44 attack UAVs of the Shahed type (launching areas - Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russia, Chauda, Crimea).
It is indicated that aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the enemy's air attack.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, as of 8:00 a.m., 27 attack UAVs were shot down. 8 UAVs were lost in location on the territory of Ukraine (probably fell under the influence of EW devices), one UAV returned in the direction of the occupied Donetsk Region. Several more aerial targets (probably attack drones) are observed in the air space in the north. Combat work continues!" the message says.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that on this day air defense was working in the following regions:
- Kyiv,
- Kirovohrad,
- Vinnytsia,
- Dnipropetrovsk,
- Mykolaiv,
- Kherson,
- Poltava,
- Chernihiv,
- Kharkiv,
- Lviv,
- Donetsk,
- Zaporizhzhia,
- Sumy.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the morning of September 6, the movement of enemy drones was recorded in the Kyiv Region, and the air defense forces are working on them.
Meanwhile, due to the fall of the Shahed debris, a fire broke out near the Lviv community, and warehouses are on fire.
