The Verkhovna Rada has appointed Herman Smetanin as Minister of Strategic Industries.
Member of Parliament from the Holos faction, Yaroslav Zhelezniak, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
A total of 247 deputies voted for draft resolution No. 1208 as a whole, with the minimum required 226.
At the end of June 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Smetanin as the director general of JSC Ukrainian Armor.
Previously, he worked at the Lviv Armored Plant, was a production director at the Malyshev Plant, director of the Kharkiv Armored Plant, director general of the Malyshev Plant.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 4, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Oleksandr Kamyshyn, Minister of Strategic Industries.
