Belarus moves parts of mechanized brigade to border with Lithuania — Belarusian Hajun

For an unknown reason, Belarus has transferred a tactical group of its army, which includes almost 40 units of military equipment, to the borders of Lithuania.

The Belarusian monitoring channel ‘Belarusian Hajun’ has reported this.

According to analysts, on August 31, the formation of the echelon of the 19th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus took place at the Zaslonovo railway station.

Already on September 1, this echelon was discovered in the Minsk district. It continued moving in the western direction.

In the afternoon of September 1, the echelon arrived at the Hrodna station in the Hrodna Region. It is located seven kilometers from the border with Lithuania.

Belarusian Hajun reported with reference to its own sources that two motorized rifle companies, a tank company and a mortar battery were sent to the Lithuanian border. Analysts believe that no more than 250 soldiers and 38 pieces of equipment were dropped.

“Currently, units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus do not pose a military threat to Lithuania," the analysts noted.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 25, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on Belarus to withdraw the troops that the country had been drawing to the border for several weeks.

Recall that the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine disclosed the details of the concentration of the Armed Forces of Belarus on the border with Ukraine.
