The army of the aggressor country russia captured the village of Halytsynivka in the Pokrovsk District of the Donetsk Region. This means that the occupiers are eight kilometers from Pokrovsk.
This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
According to maps built on the basis of open data, russian troops have recently advanced to southwestern Halytsynivka (southeast of Pokrovsk). ISW suggested that russian forces had probably captured the village.
"A Ukrainian officer operating on the Pokrovsk axis reported on September 2 that Ukrainian forces retreated from Novohrodivka (southeast of Pokrovsk) in order to save the lives of Ukrainian servicemen, indicating that Russian forces had probably captured Novohrodivka," the ISW message said.
This means that russian troops are approximately 8 kilometers from Pokrovsk.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the Donetsk Region, russian forces advanced and captured the village of Prechystivka in the Donetsk Region.
