Missile attack on Kyiv damages offices of Danish and Norwegian humanitarian organizations

As a result of russian missile strikes on September 2, the offices of Danish and Norwegian humanitarian organizations in Kyiv were significantly damaged.

Danish Embassy in Ukraine announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Today, September 2, 2024, in the morning, Russia launched ballistic and cruise missiles at Kyiv. The office of DanChurchAid and Norwegian Church Aid was among the buildings damaged by the shelling. There were no injuries, but the building was significantly damaged," the message reads.

Both organizations have a joint office and jointly carry out aid work in Ukraine, including demining and humanitarian support.

"This attack will only strengthen Denmark's determination to support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom," said Jens Alsbirk, Chargé d'Affaires of the Danish Embassy, ​​in a video message recorded at the scene of the events.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as a result of a missile attack on Kyiv on September 2, the premises of the Sviatoshyn subway station and the Islamic Cultural Center were damaged.
