In the period of August 26-30, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc (United Kingdom), which controls Poltava Mining and Yeristovo Mining (both located in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Region), at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 7.6% or GBP 0.038 per share to GBP 0.459 per share, falling for the 5th week in a row.
That follows from the data posted at the London Stock Exchange, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the report, on August 27, the shares of the company were quoted at the level of GBP 0.497 per share; on August 28, they decreased to GBP 0.474 per share; and on August 29, they rose to GBP 0.478 per share.
But on August 30, the share quotations decreased to GBP 0.459 per share.
The transactions were being conducted throughout the week.
Since the start of the year, the company's share quotations have decreased by 49.2% (compared to the level of quotations on December 29, 2023 - GBP 0.903).
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the period of August 19-23, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange decreased by 4.1% or GBP 0.020 per share to GBP 0.465 per share, falling for the 4th week in a row.
In the period of December 31, 2022 - December 31, 2023, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc at the London Stock Exchange fell by 42.6% or GBP 0.669 per share to GBP 0.903 per share.
In January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, the Ferrexpo plc increased its net profit twice, or by USD 28 million, to USD 55 million.
The group's earnings in the first half of the year increased by 64% to USD 549 million, mainly due to the recovery of exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports.
In the first half of the year, the company increased EBITDA (Earnings before Taxes, Interest, and Depreciation) by 24%, or USD 15 million, to USD 79 million, which is largely due to increased revenue due to increased production.
Capital investments in the 1st half of the year decreased by 5% to USD 55 million.
