Captain 1st rank Roman Hladkyi, who was appointed Chief of Staff of the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces, has the necessary education and experience, passed all checks and received permission to work with information with the highest degree of secrecy.

"In connection with the spread of information in the media and social networks about Captain 1st rank Roman Hladkyi, who was appointed Chief of Staff of the Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces, we officially inform you. Captain 1st rank Roman Hladkyi is an officer with many years of experience in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has a relevant military education and significant experience of serving in senior positions in the Armed Forces. During 2018-2019, Captain 1 rank Hladkyi passed all the necessary checks by the Security Service of Ukraine, he has permission to work with information with the highest degree of secrecy," the message says.
The Armed Forces note that in 2020-2023, Hladkyi held the positions of Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the Command of the United Forces, and later - Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent specialized training in Canada. After the start of the large-scale aggression, Hladkyi performed tasks in various directions. In particular, during the organization of the anti-aircraft defense of the coast in Odesa.
The leadership of the Armed Forces warns media persons and mass media against spreading false information.
"The Unmanned Systems Forces, as a separate branch of the military, is in the stage of formation and development. This process requires understanding, patience, and sometimes silence. The Command of the Unmanned Systems Forces sincerely hopes that the mass media and media persons before spreading any information will be requested for official comments. We are always open to communication as much as possible," the AFU emphasized.
The Unmanned Systems Forces are the newest type of military, created by the decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy of June 25, 2024.
