During the last seven days, the russian occupiers accelerated their advance towards Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region.
It was reported by the British Ministry of Defence in its daily review.
Intelligence suggests that the occupation army of the russian federation is within 10 kilometers of the outskirts of the city.
"The rate of advance is likely to slow as Russian ground forces enter Pokrovsk’s built-up areas,” the review says.
Intelligence notes that Pokrovsk serves as a key logistics hub for the Donetsk Region and, if captured, would likely lengthen and divert existing Ukrainian supply lines.
"This will likely make it more difficult for Ukrainian Armed Forces to resupply and manoeuvre resources quickly to several key strongholds between Chasiv Yar and Vuhledar," the UK Defence Intelligence added.
On all other front lines in the east and south of Ukraine, the operational pace of hostilities remains low, without significant changes in territorial control.
Recall that Syrskyi said that on the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy throws into battle everything that can move and advance, trying to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops.
