On August 30, the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief decided that the head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytskyi should resign from his post.
Forbes reports this with reference to its sources.
It is noted that President Zelenskyy announced such a decision at the Staff meeting.
According to one of the interlocutors, Kudrytskyi refused to write a resignation letter of his own free will. The press service of Ukrenergo did not confirm or deny this information.
Now the decision on the resignation of the head of Ukrenergo must be made by the company's supervisory board. Members of the supervisory board: independents - Daniel Dobbeni, Peder Andreasen, Roman Pionkowski, and representatives of the state - Yurii Boiko, Yurii Tokarskyi, Oleksandr Baraniuk.
The reason for the Staff’s decision is the unfinished protective structures around the Ukrenergo substations, which, after massive russian shelling on August 26, led to interruptions in the supply of electricity.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the attack by the aggressor country russia on the energy facilities of Ukraine on August 26 was the largest since the beginning of the full-scale war.
Earlier, Kudrytskyi stated that the presence of protective structures made it possible to speed up the elimination of damage to the power system facilities.
