The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, has appointed Anatolii Kryvonozhko as the Acting Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Lieutenant General Kryvonozhko Anatolii Mykolaiovych has been allowed to temporarily perform the duties of the Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the General Staff reported.
It is noted that the relevant decision was made by the Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.
The General Staff said that Kryvonozhko holds the post of the Commander of the Center Air Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency previously reported, earlier today, on August 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy relieved Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, who had been the Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces since August 2021.
Recall, also today media reported that at a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, a decision was made to dismiss Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the head of Ukrenergo.
