This night, the aggressor state of russia launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 18 Shahed-131/136 drones over the territory of Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed 12 UAVs, another 4 fell on their own.
This was announced by the commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.
So, on the night of August 30, 2024, the enemy struck with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea and 18 Shahed-131/136 type UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk areas of the russian federation.
It is indicated that aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the attack.
"As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 12 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were shot down, four were lost in location (fell on their own)," the message reads.
According to Oleshchuk, air defense was operating in the Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Sumy Regions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of August 30, russian occupiers attacked an industrial facility in the Poltava Region with drones.
