The former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Volodymyr Omelian, who is currently serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that he was wounded after an enemy attack with guided aerial bombs.
He announced this on his Facebook page.
Omelian noted that he was wounded on the Independence Day of Ukraine.
"On August 24, the enemy hit the position of our battalion with two guided aerial bombs. This time I was lucky: a broken bone, more than 10 fragments in the body, but alive. Now I will have two birthdays a year: from my parents, and from Ukraine," the former minister wrote.
Now Omelian is awaiting treatment and rehabilitation.
Also, the former minister, who headed the Ministry of Infrastructure during president Petro Poroshenko's tenure, took the opportunity to tease President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's team.
"Volodymyr Oleksandrovych, Poroshenko's ministers in the Armed Forces are already running out. Prepare a landing force in the Armed Forces from your former ones. At least one for a brigade headquarters. Although it would be possible to form an assault regiment from them," Omelian said.
Omelian also published a photo in which he is in a wheelchair with a bandaged leg.
As previously reported, the former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Volodymyr Omelian, believes that it is inappropriate for Ukraine to take responsibility for the liberated russian territories. The politician suggests giving them to "good Russians" so that they organize themselves and create "New Russia".
