On the night of August 29, the russian occupation army attacked Ukraine with 3 Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the airspace of the Kursk and Belgorod Oblasts, from the same direction - with two missiles, the type of which is currently being established, as well as 74 strike UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type from the districts of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Yeysk.
The commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, announced this on his Telegram channel.
As reported, aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack.
As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and 60 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were shot down. Another 14 attack UAVs were lost (fell) on the territory of Ukraine.

Anti-aircraft defense worked within the Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Sumy and Donetsk Regions.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Belarus recorded probably the first case when a fighter of the Belarusian Air Force made an attempt to destroy a real military target in the sky - a russian kamikaze drone of the Shahed type, which flew into the country's territory during the russian attack on Ukraine.
