There is not a single HEPP in Ukraine that was not attacked by russia - Ukrhydroenergo

To date, there is not a single hydroelectric power plant (HEPP) in Ukraine that has not been attacked by the russians. In general, HEPPs lost about 40% of their generation.

This was announced by the director general of Ukrhydroenergo Ihor Syrota on the air of the telethon.

"To date, unfortunately, there is not a single station that has not been attacked by the russian aggressor. More than 130 missile strikes have been made on our generation. Of course, we are losing and have lost a lot (hydrogenation - ed.)," he said.

Syrota added that Kakhovka HEPP was completely lost, Dnipro HEPP is practically not working today. According to him, restoration processes are underway at all other hydroelectric power stations.

"We are trying to recover. We do not yet know what it will be possible to recover. Until the autumn-winter period, the task is to recover as much as possible, but today, let's say, this issue is very difficult, because if not every week, then every month - missiles are constantly strikes. We are planning one thing, and the enemy is planning another. That's why it's very difficult to predict anything today," he explained.

Syrota also noted that Ukrainian hydroelectric power plants cannot currently fulfill their balancing function in full. He recalled that two months ago he reported that as a result of russian attacks, hydroelectric power stations lost about 40% of their generation. At the same time, the equipment that needs to be restored is manufactured abroad and the manufacturing period is very long.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Andrii Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, stated that as a result of the massive russian attack on August 26, there is no threat to the Kyiv HEPP dam, and it is impossible to destroy it with missiles.

The Kyiv hydroelectric power station did not suffer critical damage as a result of massive shelling by the aggressor country of russia.
