The head of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, announced that the rematch between the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk and the ex-WBC champion Tyson Fury will take place on December 21, 2024. Bookmakers have already published the odds for this fight, Sport.ua reports.
Unlike the first meeting, in which the question of the favorite remained open, the bookmakers clearly determined that the Ukrainian boxer has more chances to win in the rematch. Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk is the favorite in the match, whose odds for victory are 1.61. Odds for Tyson Fury's win are 2.52, and 16 for a draw.
Bookmakers also consider it unlikely that the fight will end early. Experts expect that the boxers will have to spend all 12 rounds in the ring. The coefficient is 1.45 for this, and 2.7 for an early victory of one of the boxers.
As previously reported, in addition to preparing for the rematch, Oleksandr Usyk decided to try himself in the cinema as well. The Ukrainian boxer got a role in the American biographical drama "Smashing Machine". The biopic is devoted to the life of former UFC fighter Mark Kerr, whose role will be played by wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
