The long-range missile-drone of Ukrainian production Palianytsia costs less than USD 1 million.
This was stated by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, in an interview with the Associated Press agency.
"I think this will change the rules of the game because we will be able to strike where russia is not expecting today," he said.
According to Fedorov, the military is now turning to the private sector to further reduce the cost of producing a missile-drone.
"This year, private companies have become the main suppliers of drones for the Ukrainian military... It is impossible to produce a sufficient number of air defense systems to protect such a large area. For us, this opens the possibility to operate deep behind enemy lines," Fedorov said.
One of the specialists involved in the project told the agency that this is "absolutely new development, from scratch", which began about 18 months ago.
"This is not a continuation of the old Soviet project," he emphasized.
It will be recalled that on August 24, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine used the Palianytsa missile-drone against the russian federation for the first time
