Overnight into Tuesday, August 27, russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with 10 missiles of various types and 81 attack drones.
As of 9 a.m., the air defense forces destroyed five cruise missiles and 60 Shaheds; combat work to destroy attack UAVs continues.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that 91 means of air attack of the enemy were detected and escorted by the radio engineering troops of the Air Force this night.

The occupiers struck with three Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K aircraft from the airspace of the Lipetsk Oblast (RF); ballistic missile Iskander-M from Crimea; cruise missile Iskander-K from the Voronezh Oblast (RF); by five Kh-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS bombers from the airspace of the Volgograd Oblast (RF); 81 attack UAVs of the Shahed type from Yeysk and Kursk Oblast (both - RF).
"As of 9 a.m., as a result of air defense operations, the following were shot down: 5 Kh-101 cruise missiles; 60 Shahed-131/136 type attack UAVs," the message reads.
Ten enemy drones were lost (presumably crashed) on the territory of Ukraine, one crossed the border with Belarus, about ten more are in the airspace of Ukraine.
Currently, combat work is ongoing.
The Air Force added that combat operations were conducted today in most regions of the country: in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kherson, Mykolayiv, Zaporizhzhia, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kirovohrad Regions.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the occupiers used 127 missiles and 109 attack UAVs for the massive attack on August 26.
Air defense forces managed to shoot down 102 missiles and 99 attack UAVs.
