Emergency blackouts introduced in Kyiv, and a number of regions

In Kyiv and a number of regions, emergency power outages were introduced after another russian missile attack on the energy system of Ukraine on the morning of August 26.

This follows from a statement by the CEO of Yasno, Serhii Kovalenko.

"Kyiv, Dnipro. The power system is being shelled. There is no light in some places. The exact reason will be established after the alarm is over. Stay in safety," the message reads.

Kovalenko informed that emergency blackouts have been introduced in Kyiv and Dnipro.

DTEK reported that Ukrenergo issued an order to introduce emergency power outages.

"Please note that during emergency shutdowns, schedules that can be predicted in advance do not work," DTEK informed

Kyiv City Mayor Vitalii Klitchko reported that there are power outages in several districts of the capital.

"As experts note, this is related to problems in the all-Ukrainian energy network," he added.

In addition, on the right bank of Kyiv, due to a power outage, there are interruptions in the water supply.

Emergency shutdowns were also reported in the Mykolayiv and Odesa Regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the morning, in the Kyiv Region, air defense was working on the approaches to Kyiv against the background of the announcement of an air alert throughout the territory of Ukraine due to the threat of cruise missile launches from Tu-95MS aircraft of the russian federation.

Later, it became known that the Air Defense Forces also worked in Kyiv itself.
