The Verkhovna Rada ratified the Agreement between Ukraine and Great Britain on political cooperation, free trade and strategic partnership.
A total of 301 MPs voted for the bill 0268 with the minimum required 226, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
On February 8, 2024, First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyrydenko and Minister of State for Trade Policy and Economic Security and Trade and Minister of London G. Hands conducted the procedure of signing the relevant Agreement in video conference mode.
The Agreement provides for the abolition of all import duties and tariff quotas by Ukraine and Great Britain in bilateral trade for 5 years.
At the same time, the cancellation of all import duties and tariff quotas for eggs and poultry products by the parties is foreseen for 2 years.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to ratify the agreement with Turkey on free trade.
