Crown Princess Victoria, who is first in line to the Swedish throne currently occupied by her father, King Carl XVI Gustaf, has begun special military officer training at the Swedish Defense University, People reports.
Photos of the princess in military uniform appeared on the official pages of the royal family in social networks. Victoria has already taken part in the first training and group classes, receiving the rank of cadet.
The crown princess said she is studying to gain a deeper understanding of tactics, military science and strategy in preparation for her future mission as head of state.
"Today, I am very much looking forward to continuing my military training at the Swedish Defense University. Together with the other cadets, I will specialize in tactics, military affairs and military strategy. Now I want to focus all my efforts on training officers to best represent Sweden and the Swedish armed forces in the future strength. I am looking forward to an interesting and useful study together with my new classmates!" Victoria said.
As previously reported, Ukraine signed a security agreement with Sweden, which provides for military aid of EUR 2.2 billion per year in 2024-2026.
