Azerbaijan's Socar and russia's Gazprom agree to expand their partnership

The state oil company of Azerbaijan Socar and the Gazprom company (russia) reached an agreement on the expansion of strategic partnership.

The Azerbaijani publication Report writes about this, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The mutually beneficial, partnership interaction of Gazprom and Socar is developing dynamically. In particular, we are talking about the North-South project, the signing of a comprehensive scientific and technical cooperation program in September of this year. An agreement was reached on the expansion of a multi-faceted strategic partnership," said the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller.

The president of the aggressor country of the russian federation, vladimir putin, paid a two-day state visit to Azerbaijan on August 18.

He held talks with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and signed several joint documents.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Socar will supply Ukrzaliznytsia with diesel fuel worth UAH 529 million.

The representative office of the Azerbaijani state company Socar in Ukraine was opened in 2008.

The company network operates 57 gas stations in Ukraine.
