Emergency officers show fire raging as result of russian attack on Ternopil

Firefighting at an industrial facility in Ternopil, which occurred as a result of a russian strike overnight into August 20, continues. Emergency officers showed photos from the scene.

They were published by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU).

"At night, the enemy attacked one of the industrial facilities on the territory of the region. A fire broke out," the report says.

It is indicated that more than 90 emergency workers, 21 units of equipment, and 2 fire engines were involved in the liquidation of the consequences of the strike. Currently, the fire has been contained. Liquidation is in progress.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, overnight into Tuesday, August 20, the russian occupation army attacked Ternopil, and a fire broke out at the enterprise. Thick black smoke covered the city.

A fire occurred as a result of an enemy object hitting one of the tanks where fuel and lubricants were stored. The State Emergency Service noted that during the day "this event will be completely liquidated." In addition, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention monitors air and water quality.
