Air Defense downs 3 missiles and 25 Shaheds overnight

Overnight into August 20, the air defense forces downed 28 enemy air targets, including one Iskander-K cruise missile, one Kh-59 guided missiles, and 25 Shaheds.

This was announced by the Commander of the Air Force / Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.

So, that night, the russians attacked with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region, an Iskander-K cruise missile from the Bryansk Oblast, Kh-59 guided air missiles from the airspace of the Kursk and Zaporizhzhia Regions, and also 26 attack UAVs of the Shahed type (launch areas - Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Yeisk, and Kursk (russia)).

As a result of anti-aircraft combat by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and electronic warfare units, 28 air targets were shot down:

• 1 Iskander-K cruise missile,
• 2 Kh-59 guided air missiles;
• 25 attack UAVs Shahed-131/136.

These targets were downed within nine regions:

• Kyiv,
• Dnipropetrovsk,
• Mykolayiv,
• Kherson,
• Vinnytsia,
• Khmelnytskyi,
• Kirovohrad,
• Sumy,
•  

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian invaders also attacked Ukraine last night. The russians struck with 11 attack UAVs of the Shahed type from the area of Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Anti-aircraft units destroyed all the targets.
