Overnight into August 18, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Kavkaz plant in the Rostov Oblast of the aggressor state, russia, which stored oil and oil products supplied, in particular, to the russian army.
This follows from a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
"The defense forces of Ukraine hit another important object of the russian invaders. Overnight into August 18, an attack was made on the Kavkaz plant in the Rostov Oblast. Oil and oil products were stored there, which were also supplied for the needs of the occupying army of the russian federation," the message says.
At least two sources of fire were recorded on the territory of the facility. More detailed information about the consequences of the damage is being clarified.
The General Staff reported that the task was completed by the forces and means of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in cooperation with the Armed Forces and other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"Measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the russian Federation are ongoing," the agency added.
As earlier reported, on the night and morning of August 18, drones struck the territory of the Rostov Oblast. As a result, the fuel ignited.
