Men aged 17 to 25 will automatically be registered as conscripts - Defense Ministry

From now on, men aged 17 to 25 will be automatically registered as conscripts, including those who are abroad.

This is stated in the notification of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the procedure for the implementation of an experimental project on automatic verification and check of information on conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists.

"Now the process of registering conscripts will be automated. The guys will not have to pass a medical examination, and all the necessary data about them will be collected from other registers. This will significantly save time for both territorial recruitment and social support centers’ employees and the guys who will be registered," said the Deputy Minister for Digitization Kateryna Chernohorenko.
