At the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief under the chairmanship of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a strategy for the return of Ukrainians from russian captivity was presented.
Zelenskyy announced this in a video address, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Also today at the Staff meeting, the strategy for the return of our people from Russian captivity was presented. Many delicate details. The ones related to the formation of lists. The ones related to working with partners. I have instructed the Defense Intelligence, the Ministry of Interior Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine to present to society the details that are necessary to let our people know about how we return prisoners," he said.
Zelenskyy added that he also instructed to involve public organizations of native Ukrainian soldiers and civilians who are currently in captivity in this work.
He also noted that the strategy for the return of Ukrainians from russian captivity will be presented at the briefing.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy noted in the traditional evening video address on August 14 that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to advance in the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country of the russian federation, they are achieving a strategic goal in the region, and are also replenishing the exchange fund.
On August 14, the Security Service of Ukraine captured more than 100 russian soldiers during an operation in the Kursk Oblast of russia.
