Defense Ministry provides test site free of charge to Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and equipment for testing products

The Ministry of Defense in cooperation with the Ministry of Strategic Industries and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched the "Iron Range" project, which provides for free testing of products at the early stages of design to Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and military equipment.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The main goal of the "Iron Range" is to provide manufacturers with the opportunity to test their products in real conditions and evaluate their effectiveness with the help of military research institutes. This will allow them to focus on creating what the Armed Forces of Ukraine really need to achieve effectiveness in combat conditions," the message says.

It is noted that thanks to this process, manufacturers will be able to receive operational feedback, optimize development and speed up the delivery of weapons and equipment to the front.

"This project is an important stage in the development of the Ukrainian military industry, as it allows manufacturers of weapons and equipment to significantly reduce the time for testing and bringing their products to the standards necessary for real combat operations. This is not just an opportunity for testing - it is a strategic approach to providing the Defense Forces with precisely weapons that are needed now and today, and not potentially in the future," Deputy Minister of Defense, Ivan Havryliuk, said.

The project offers access to training grounds equipped with everything necessary for testing various types of military products.

As part of the project, arms manufacturers will be provided with professional expertise, support during testing, consultations of military experts, and help to develop testing methodology.

Based on the results of the tests, the participants will receive an official protocol and conclusions from the Central Military Scientific Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and/or the State Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Weapons and Military Equipment.
