In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational troops group, 10 russian assaults were repelled during the past day. The enemy became more active on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson Region. Dmytro Lykhovii, the spokesman for the Tavria Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG), stated this on the air of a nationwide telethon.
"Over the course of yesterday, 10 enemy assaults were repelled. We remain tense in the area of the Robotynsky ledge, where three russian attacks were repelled yesterday, when the enemy advanced in numbers to the detachment without using armored vehicles and was unsuccessful. The loss of our positions is not allowed," Lykhovii said.
The russians had two killed and one wounded in the offensive on Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka, from the direction of Verbove. Also, seven enemy attacks were repelled on the bridgehead, on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson Region, north of the village of Krynky, where Ukrainian units moved to new positions, where the enemy became more active compared to last week.
"A considerable number of assaults take place there every day for such a small section, and there are peculiarities that due to the marshy terrain it is difficult to create fortifications, new positions, observation posts, fire positions and at the same time, if the enemy in such weather as now, inflicts artillery fire damage, especially from 152-millimeter artillery, and also drops ammunition with incendiary substances from UAVs, as yesterday in the area of these positions, north of Krynky, there are fires and it is very difficult to hold these positions. Our defenders have to move," added the spokesman of the Tavria OSTG.
He noted that the enemy lost 57 more people yesterday, one of them a prisoner, who is a representative of the 503rd motorized rifle battalion of the 19th motorized rifle division, from Stanitsa Troitskaya, Republic of Ingushetia.
The spokesman of the Tavria OSTG added that, in general, there are no drastic changes in the tactics of the russians. The enemy continues its aggressive behavior, no signs of the formation of a russian offensive have been detected, but there is no need to talk about a decrease in the number of invaders.
