Since the beginning of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operation in the Kursk Oblast, Ukrainian border guards have not recorded cases of russians entering Ukraine.
Andrii Demchenko, the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the telethon.
According to Demchenko, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, border crossing points with russia, Belarus and unrecognized Transnistria have been closed. But citizens of Ukraine can enter the country if they arrive from a neighboring country, even if they do not have enough documents.
"We constantly noticed such movement in the direction of the Pokrovka checkpoint, from the adjacent side of Kolotylivka. The russians also let Ukrainian citizens pass in this direction, but recently, during the active actions taking place on the border with the russian federation, russia does not let Ukrainian citizens pass, and there is no movement," the spokesman said.
He added that Ukrainians can enter the territory of the state through Belarus. About 40,000 Ukrainians have returned in this way (via the russian federation and Belarus) since the beginning of 2022.
To the question of whether citizens of the russian federation tried to enter the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of active actions in the Kursk Oblast, the spokesman answered in the negative.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a hotline for humanitarian aid and evacuation to Ukraine is open for residents of the Kursk Oblast. Where to call.
