On Tuesday, July 13, Ukraine was supplied with emergency electricity from Slovakia.
This was announced by the press service of the Ukrenergo national energy company, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to the report, electricity consumption is gradually increasing due to warming in the southern regions.
"Consumption on Wednesday, August 14, as of 9:30, is 1% lower than at the same time yesterday. This is due to the cooling at night. Yesterday, August 13, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 2.4% higher than on Monday, August 12. This is a significant increase in consumption, to cover which it is necessary to include an additional unit of the thermal power plant," the message says.
Restriction measures are not expected to be applied on Wednesday.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 12, Ukraine provided emergency assistance to Slovakia's power system by accepting excess electricity.
