The Bolshoe Soldatskoe district of the Kursk Oblast of the aggressor country of the russian federation began to evacuate the population.
DW writes about it.
The head of the district, Vladimir Zaitsev, said that as of August 12, there were no requests for evacuation in the district.
"There was no evacuation in our district until today. Everyone left on their own, no one interfered. Today we are collecting data on who still needs evacuation," the official wrote.
According to Zaitsev, there are many people left, but "they don't want to leave."
The Bolshoe Soldatskoe district is located eight kilometers from the village of Martynovka in the Sudzha district, to which, according to Telegram channels, the Ukrainian military approached. It is also reported that fighting continues in the district itself.
It will be recalled that Zelenskyy explained that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast is a security issue for Ukraine - the liberation of the border area, which is constantly under fire, from the enemy. At the same time, according to him, Kursk is the "catastrophe of the war" of the russian dictator vladimir putin.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army currently controls about 1,000 square kilometers in the Kursk Oblast.
